Gloria: Three Approaches to Psychotherapy

The Gloria sessions are a remarkable set of videoed therapy sessions with leading theorists of the 1950s and 1960s: Carl Rogers (Person Centred), Fritz Peral (Gestalt), and Albert Ellis (rational emotive behavior therapy or REBT), each working with "Gloria". Filmed in 1965, the series of films has a long and sometimes controversial history.

They are a chance to see what these men, who you usually only meet on the pages of book, looked and sounded like, and to compare their styles. Who would you have preferred as your therapist?

Carl Rogers

Fritz Perals

Albert Ellis
